Welcome to Ayslyn’s Corner, home of the Witchy Blog Award!
I am an eclectic Pagan bordering on atheist who has made her way through a number of different spiritual spaces. You might wonder what a person self-identifying as an atheist has to discuss in a religion/spiritual context – and, well, so do I. That’s one of the things I aim to explore here.
I was raised Baptist Christian but broke with that faith when I was fifteen. My experiences both within and without the massively organized religion prompted me to reconsider everything Christianity and its like stood for. I had a brief period of agnosticism before transitioning into Wicca, with heavy influence from Dianic Wicca. I spent several years exploring my own free-form understanding of faith, and during that time Ayslyn’s Corner started up. Then in 2014 I suffered the most earth-shattering experience of my life: the death of my infant daughter. Since that point, I’ve struggled on a number of levels and all but abandoned any semblance of faith.
Going forward, I’m trying to find myself again. I hope you’ll join me and be comfortable enough to share from your own lives as well. ❤
